Welcome to Rügen

Office hours with a Baltic Sea view instead of Caribbean waves: Not entirely by choice, former ship’s doctor Nora Kaminski ends up on Rügen. The 42-year-old physician is grappling with financial troubles. Her savings barely cover a room in a “characterful, old captain’s house,” where hot water is not guaranteed, and her eccentric landlord, Matthias Samland, gives her the cold shoulder.

Brothers and Sons

Nora Kaminski lives under the same roof as her practice partner, Dr. Richard Freese, just like in their student days. So far, though, only the title is written on the cover page. Something doesn’t add up.

What Really Matters

Easy Rider, LuckyBird72, and a name she quickly deletes—Nora Kaminski (Tanja Wedhorn) is getting her first inquiries on her brand-new dating profile. The popular single woman is finally over her twice-ex, Peer (Dirk Borchardt). The cautious getting-to-know-you phase with boatbuilder Max (Bernhard Piesk), who charmingly courts Nora, even feels promising. Of all times, her younger sister, who shows up at her door after years of silence, demands her full attention. Franziska (Tina Amon Amonsen), who unabashedly presents herself as a novelist, online entrepreneur, and model, is thrilled by everything in Nora’s life—even her new “acquaintance” Max (Bernhard Piesk). Unfortunately, the “big” sister knows all too well what lies behind Franziska’s exuberance: a bipolar disorder. Since manic euphoria can give way to a depressive low, Nora now shifts into constant high alert.
